Lights¶
Lights are a type of element. They can be accessed from the element bar in the Project Explorer.
Lights can be used to control the shading and visibility of elements in your scene. When you press the light icon, the scene will temporarily darken. This is because there are two pseudo-lights placed in a scene by default that are not visible in the project explorer. Placing a light will delete these and make lighting up to your direct control, but will make pseudo-lights in other scenes visible.

Properties specific to lights are the light type, its intensity and its color. Its color can bathe items in a specific shade, whereas white lights light elements normally. The intensity controls the strength of the light.
Switching from directional to ambient will light the entire scene evenly.

Switching to horizontal lighting will also affect the entire scene, but from a hemisphere rather than ambiently.

The point light is similar to directional, focusing on a specific point. Here, you can also control how far it goes and how quickly it decays.

Lastly, spot lighting is similar to point lighting, but has additional settings for the angle of the cone of the light and the penumbra.

All other entries, such as position, scale and rotation, and color remain the same as in other elements.
